RTP Angel Fund

Member-managed committed-capital angel fund launched in summer 2023 by organizers of Triangle Angel Partners and RTP Capital, with more than 50 North Carolina members who may also invest alongside the fund. Closed on $3 million in June 2023 and invests $50,000 to $250,000, averaging about $150,000, at pre-seed, seed and Series A, mostly in the Research Triangle and across North Carolina and the Southeast. Usually leads within a syndicate and will write term sheets. Companies apply on the fund's site, pitch a screening committee, then present at a monthly member dinner where members vote by secret ballot to open due diligence. Co-founded by Jan Davis; John Cambier, formerly of Idea Fund Partners, is fund administrator.
