Family office ("Second Foundation") founded by Bill Spruill after the roughly $300M sale of Global Data Consortium to the London Stock Exchange Group in 2022, run by a five-person full-time team from Raleigh. Its stated focus is founder wealth creation on two tracks: deep-tech and big-tech founders in the RTP region, and people-of-color technology founders nationwide, combining for-profit investing with philanthropic programs. Programs include founder education on equity preservation, investor matchmaking, and the Minority Achievers Initiative, a national cohort of big-tech and deep-tech founders run with American Underground (first cohorts October 2024 and January 2025).
