Validic sells to ChartSpan, and the milestones stack up

Validic, the Durham health-data platform, was acquired by ChartSpan, and Equity Shift folded SteadyTrail into its employee-ownership platform. Around the two deals, three companies logged concrete milestones: ServiceTrade shipped a new AI product, Merakris landed a five-year VA contract, and Atsena dosed the first patient in a pivotal gene-therapy trial.

Validic

Durham personal-health-data platform

Acquired by ChartSpan.

Validic, a long-running Durham platform for connecting personal health and device data into clinical systems, was acquired by ChartSpan. Terms were not disclosed, and Validic's own site now says it is joining ChartSpan. It is the larger of two Triangle acquisitions this week and a clean outcome for a company that has been part of the Durham digital-health scene for over a decade.
