Flathead Forge Fund 1, a Houston hard-tech fund, disclosed the investment on July 6 without naming an amount or a security type. The release describes NALA as a North Carolina developer of chlorine-stable membranes for industrial water purification and reuse, winner of the Grand Prize at the 2024 Global Prize for Innovation in Desalination, and one of 50 semifinalists chosen from 674 teams across 86 countries in the $119M XPRIZE Water Scarcity competition.
